The Kills - Blood Pressures

Every time i get a new kills album (Keep on your mean side, No Wow, midnight boom,) i say man, the last album was incredible, i hope this one holds up. and you know what? after a few listen  i say damn this is even better than the last one! allison mosshart and jamie hince have not disappointed me yet, and i'm halfway certain they never will.

New album released a couple days a ago "Blood Pressures," is nothing sheer of incredible. i will say I am a sucker for this kinda stuff. rough minimalist guitar chops with thumpity little basslines and a great girl singer. AND THE DRUMS. the beats are so great. and fun to play to play along with.

the openner "fututre starts slow" is familiar for anyone whose followed the kills. simple strucutre with a sweet hook and lyrics.
first single "satellite"is a down tempo bluesy number with a great chord progression
"nail in my coffin" is a beat driven song at its best and kicks you in the groin  at every turn which kinda feels like the kills most popular song of midnight boom "sour cherry"
second single "dna" has nice guitar work and mosshart amazes all the way through
lullaby-ish song "baby says" has a incredible retro vibe and im sure the harmonies will be drilled into my brain for weeks
closer track "pots and pans" takes an ever farther back vibe with slide guitar by hince. this is a completly new turn for the kills, it sounds wonderful, could this be a foreshadow for their sound to come?
